Shopian, February 27 (KNO) : Nocturnal Gunfight breaks out between militants and goverment forces in Memander area of South Kashmir's Shopain district.
Reports reaching KNO that on Wednesday night a joint team of army, CRPF and SOG launched cordon and search operation in Memandar on specific inputs about the presence of militants.
A police official said that acting on a specific inputs about presence of some militants in the area, joint team of forces launched cordon and search operation in the area.
As forces intensified searches towards suspected spot hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an encounter, he said
Two to three militants are believed to be trapped and intermittent firing is going on, official sources said.(KNO)
